PSA for Who Am I This Time?

June 6th, 2008 admin No comments

Westside Players* PRESENTS . . .

Who Am I this Time?

two hilarious one-act comedies about life in the theatre

In The Actor’s Nightmare Christopher Durang gives us George, an accountant by day, who finds himself in the spotlight, center stage in one of the world’s greatest plays. He just doesn’t know which play it is, or what his lines are, or why the suspiciously familiar supporting cast won’t help him out. A bad dream for George is insanely funny mayhem for the audience.

In The Shock of Recognition” by Robert Anderson, playwright Jack Barnstable wants his 1960’s audience to feel a jolt of the familiar when they see a perfectly ordinary man naked on stage. His producer thinks it’s an impossible idea. Their wry and witty argument ends with proof that some actors are willing to do anything for a good role.
