The contest was held at The Warehouse during ”I Ought To Be in Pictures.” Audience members in attendance voted on all of the logos that were submitted to the contest and this is the “modified” winner with the updated information about the event. Congratulations, Misty and thank you for all your hard work.

The audience members also gave us inspirational words, items, or phrases that will be incorporated into the original plays that will be written for the 24 Hour Theatre event. Thank you to all of the audience members who participated in the contest. Don’t forget to come out on the 19th so you can see what you helped create!

And come early so you can enjoy cocktails, appetizers, and bid on some fantastic items available at the silent auction from 6-7:45.

What IS a 24 Hour Theatre Event?

It is a 24-hour marathon culminating in the presentation several short plays which have been entirely written, directed and rehearsed within that 24 hour time period. Westside’s 24 Hour Theatre Fundraiser will begin with a kick-off event on Friday, May 18th from 7-8 PM at the Warehouse. Our six writers, Jamie Hale, Jedidah Taylor, Judd Thompson, Julie Leir-VanSickle, Michael Czerepinski, andTed Bonman, will each pick their genre, actors, directors, and an inspirational word, phrase or item provided by audience members who attended ”I Ought To Be in Pictures.” Then at 8pm the 24 hour “Countdown to Lights Up” will begin. The playwrights will have 12 hours to create a complete script. At 8am on the 19th, those scripts will be turned over to the Directors and Actors who will have 12 hours to prepare for the performances. Performances begin when the 24 Hour period ends, at 8pm, May 19th. 24 Hour Event Talent Coordinators, Dan Varas and Dana Harris, have brought more than 50 talented volunteers together to bring this massive undertaking to Pocatello.
