Chilling Mystery at Westside

Agatha Christie’s best– And Then There Were None –opens Westside Players’ 2008 season on February 8. Ten strangers arrive on isolated Soldier Island, invited by an absent host and having seemingly nothing in common. When an unseen voice accuses each of them of having gotten away with murder, they scramble to clear their names. But there’s much more than reputation at stake as the weekend party dissolves into suspicion, sudden death, and the struggle to survive. The cast, under the direction of Jackie Czerepinski, includes: Ray Carter, Cassandra Case, Michael Czerepinski, Lisa Hammond, Travis W. Hopkins, Bo Hudson, Walt Mecham, Tara Rae Norman, Diana Potter, Bill Rasmussen, and Stephen M. Rhoads. Brin Durham’s sophisticated set provides an ideal environment for the mayhem. This masterwork, formerly titled Ten Little Indians, keeps the characters and the audience guessing to the very end.

Enjoy the Lobby

During the run of And Then There Were None our lobby will feature a tribute to the playwright and her many creations. For most of the twentieth century, Agatha Christie was acknowledged as The Queen of Crime. In 1962 she became the most widely read British author in the world, with Shakespeare coming in second. In 1970, on her eightieth birthday, she published her eightieth book. Her script The Mousetrap, which Westside produced in 2001, has the distinction of being the longest continuously running play in the English language. Come and get acquainted with Dame Christie and toast her memory at the champagne reception on opening night beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Save on Fun

Season Tickets will be available through the run of And Then There Were None. 2008 continues with Chapter Two, Neil Simon’s wry and romantic comedy, April 25 – May 17 . July 11 – August 2 we’re producing Who Am I this Time? two hilarious theatrical one-acts, “The Actor’s Nightmare” by Christopher Durang and “The Shock of Recognition” by Robert Anderson. We’ll close the season uproariously with Michael Cooney‘s British farce Cash on Delivery each weekend in October. Season Tickets represent a greater savings than in the past and can be purchased at the Warehouse on show nights or at The Raven’s Nest when you make your reservations.
